The PTA kicks off its annual “spirit wear” clothing sale at Back to School night in September. We have a great selection of cool clothes for kids and adults alike. In addition to t-shirts, we are pleased to offer a long-sleeved t’s, hooded sweatshirts and tanks that is bound to be the hottest fashion trend for girls.  Clothing sales will continue on through out the school year.

The Holiday Boutique is an opportunity for your child to choose and purchase holiday gifts.

This year, the Old Bethpage PTA will be selling Kidstuff books. The cost of the books are $25 per book. Each child in the school will be bringing home one book for you to look through.  There are many local and national chain coupons that will help you save through out the year.

Picture day is September 28, 2011!

Professional photographers will take individual student photos, as well as group photos of each class. Pre-order forms will go out for all students.  You must return your pre-order form by the designated deadline in order to have your child’s picture printed.  Along with your pictures, you will receive a personalized order form for your child where you can choose from an array of photo merchandise.  Sibling photos will be offered on Picture Re-Take Day for those siblings who attend school at Old Bethpage Elementary.

Our annual Mother’s Day plant sale is held in May. As in the past years, we are making the advance purchase of flats available with 18 plugs per flat. Pre-orders are placed in March so don’t miss out! We will have an assortment of plants available for the children to purchase on the plant sale days in May.

The OLD BETHPAGE PTA monthly Pretzel Sale is a big hit! Take advantage of our new and easier PREPAYMENT option. You can prepay once and never again worry that you forgot to give your child a dollar. The cost of each pretzel is $1.00.

What’s a Smencil? Smelly Pencils, of course! Sheets of newspaper are tightly rolled around the #2 graphite writing cores until pencils of typical thickness are formed. Then they’re hardened, allowing them to be sharpened just like all other pencils. Next, because newspaper is an absorbent material, the pencils are soaked with gourmet liquid scents. Once they are dry, each one smells like the scent that was used. NEW!  Smens are pens that are cased in a similar manor and are now available.

Smencils will be sold during lunch on various days throughout the year. Each Smencil costs $1.00 / Smen $2.00 and comes in a plastic case to keep the scent for 2 years.

Please join us for a night of FUN & GAMES and prizes for all children! Admission entitles 1 person to play all evening. Bring your crayons to mark your Bingo Cards. This fun event is open to all Old Bethpage students and their families.
